The overriding concept was remodelling the whole appearance and way the existing driveway and front garden was used. Tumbled block paving was laid in a coursed banding pattern to the edge of the driveway, culminating in a larger area creating the sinuous footpath that leads to the front door. In stark contrast to the block paving a golden quartz resin bound aggregate was used for the main drive for its uplifting colour, textural qualities and its sustainable urban drainage merits. The exiting natural stone walling was made good and feature piers located at the entrance to frame the arrival of the driveway. A bespoke angled railing system was design to create a secure edge to the neighbouring driveway. A simple palette of low maintenance groundcover and hedging plants was used soften the driveway and front garden.
