Design and Build

Our design and build service is broken down into three simple steps.

Step 1 – Initial Visit

It all starts by getting in touch and a visit from us; where you have the opportunity to discuss the requirements, aspirations of your project. We will also address budget, statutory and legal obligations if required to fully determine the design brief.

Whilst at the visit a basic survey of the garden will be undertaken, on which the outline design work will be based upon.

Step 2 – Design and Quotation

We will produce a scaled design tailored to your requirements; budget or project type that best conveys the design intent for your project. This may comprise of a standard outline drawing or a 3D visualization or combination of both.

A written quotation will also be prepared identifying the scope of work for the project, specified materials and landscape operations required, T&C’s and the finally the cost.

Step 3 – Construction

If we’ve done our job right and you’re happy to proceed with the design, all we need is a deposit to secure a slot on our build schedule. It’s that simple! After that we will be responsible for delivering your project from start to finish.

Terms and Conditions for Design and Build

A deposit of 20% will be required on approval of the design and quotation, which will secure a space within our build schedule/program. On receipt of the deposit a provisional start date will be confirmed in writing securing your project.

We will contact you 7-10 days before the project in due to start to confirm the provisional start date. If there are any changes to this you will be notified at this time. We endeavour to keep to our build schedule where possible, but there are occasions where unforeseen circumstances and climatic conditions, that are out of our control cause delay to our works program.

We require a payment of 30% at the start of the project. During the construction a following stage payment of 40% will be required on completion of an agreed proportion of the works.

A final payment of 10% is due after practical completion of the project, when you are completely satisfied with the installation.

During the course of the construction you may wish to include additional items to the current design. Any variations to the design during the construction will be discussed and processed appropriately; normally these will incur an additional cost, which will be dependent upon the nature of the variation of works. A written quotation will be provided for all significant variations to the approved design.
